so i was reading my own blog today and realised that i didn't mention that in the whole month of november that i moved to portland, oregon. i guess it slipped my mind because the awesomeness of the city has blown my mind and i had forgotten to mention that i moved 28 hours away....oops :)

here is jeff's music video of the song Interface. I did the stick man animation, the stop motion of the bass, half of the moon shots, was the girl in front of the computer, cut out and wrote the zeros and ones, took half the snap shots of the glowing swirls and was in the other half...i think that about covers it, everything else is thanks to jeff (music, editing, and all the other boring shit haha just kidding) :) enjoy: (see actual video on website)

so i tried to take a bath for the first time in our apartment tonight and look what i found out: (tub photo here) yuck... so this kinda sucks that i've been bathing and possibly drinking yellow/brown water, yum! any ways...i will be having my art show at In Other Words in March. i will be there at noon to start hanging, come by and say hi! it will hang for the entire month :)

so i had a job and already quit it, it wasn't worth it for the pay....but that's how most jobs are right? any ways good news! i have an art show in March at In Other Words bookstore and community center. For the exact date I'm not sure yet. I will definitely be creating some new paintings and such in the next coming months. I've also been volunteering at Microcosm Book Publishing. It's really nice to be in an atmosphere surrounded by books and other types of reading/educational material.

hey so i put up a lot of photos in my random section of all the art i've been doing lately...the wood i made the tampon out of we found at the park, it use to be a pole by the parking lot but someone had run into it and broke it off so i decided to make it into a tampon....the tree art 1 photo is a the cut out of the tree in tree art 2 laid over the newspaper and sat in the sun for 4 days....yep :)

so here is why i hate leaving the house: i thought it would be okay to go to the library...i drove there just fine, parked, went in, dropped my book off, asked where the adult graphic novels were and was told they are all mixed into the fiction. okay, so far, looking at the rows of books doing okay, then this group of people come in and they are the loudest i've ever heard anybody be in the library, still doing okay, haven't found a comic i like yet cus they all are marvel, so i decied to check out the dvd's, here is where my day starts going down hill, this lady keeps scooting over towards me and expecting me to move (you know one of those) and so i do and finally i have enough of it and so i go and look at the books again, she follows me there, then i go back to the dvd's and she follows me back, wtf!!!????, so i grab a comic and check out, drive home fine, then as usual i can't park in front of my house because the only people who park on the whole block are people who already have drive ways but don't use them for some reason and decied to park right in front of our place, so i'm upset but still functioning, even though i had to park with at least 5 different people watching me, so i pick up the recycle bin for the house and bring it up and take down the trash, then here is where it dives deeper, there is a hole in the trash can and it rained the night before and i have a bag of nasty used cat litter in there, so then now i have that dripping all over my feet onto my sandals, so really pissed off now, then the downstairs neighbor stops me for a quick chat and i get 2 mosquito bites on my upper back!!!!!!!!! that tops it off now i'm officially pissed off and since i don't have facebook or twitter like most people, i'm bitching about it on my blog so you can suck it! this all happend within an hour, now my day is ruined, thank you life

hello again....so i feel really bad cus i had no choice but to quit my NHS job :( ...they have this rule that no matter what (ie: doctors note, calling in advance, etc.) that you can not have more than 16 hrs. of work missing and I have been sick for almost a week now. Ironically I caught it at work. i really had a good time there and will miss the people and animals i worked with....any ways today we took a long walk at the lake and i got some new pics......i finally have those paintings i did a while ago up too! enjoy

so i got a job at the nebraska humane society in the cat section! i think it will be nice working for an organization that reflects my personal values....i'm super excited! ...about a week ago i painted 2 paintings in a 24 hour period, that's pretty good considering my usual 1 painting every 6 months, i'll have them up soon :) ......other than all that i've spent over 8 hrs. in different waiting rooms this past week, luckily nothings too wrong with me....but i think i've had my fill of horrible t.v. and radio for this decade.....

feeling inspired today cus one of my besties wrote me a letter! oh how i love the dying and probably rightfully so mobile tangible mail service! i put some new and a lot of older sketches up in my "random" section. starting to get out of the winter blues but it's hard when it keeps snowing....it's sunny for the first time in about a week so i'm eager to get out

welp i did it, i finally deleted all web presence except my website and my w.a.s.t.e. account....didn't get the job, it snowed for 3 days straight so there was no way of being able to make it to the interviews :( better luck next time. i guess i'll use this time to focus more on my art....we'll see what happens.

glad the worst of the holidays are over with...i've been working on watercolor comics lately, i'll put some up soon. i'm really excited about it. todays weather was quite strange reaching up to 63 degrees in late december...hmmmm...so we went to the park and took pictures of this freaky day. now its cloudy and cooler and we are suppose to get an ice storm tonight...we'll see....and still no word on any book publishers, man they sure take their time when i know they've checked it because of my website stats...and they say they get back to EVERYONE, i just don't get it.

well been pretty bummed lately, not one of the book publishers i've written has e-mailed back.....not even saying they aren't interested, just nothing........so since the book project has come to a holt and it's winter and there is nothing to do.......I've been looking for a job but no ones wrote me back on that either.....maybe my email doesn't work?? who knows....i'm working on a couple of paintings, but they prolly won't be done anytime soon... ....so the new years coming up and i can't wait to start over, well at least feel like i have a fresh slate.....

well back from tour...it was very long and it's all one big blur really....i was sick for the last half of it so it could of gone better....got some more material for my secret project :) going to start wrapping it up here soon. yesterday was my birthday and my car was getting looked at so i had no car, the internet didn't work, it snowed, jeff was sick......not the best bday but today is a better day and i'm getting shit together!

well had a job, loved it but couldn't take the new corporate reign that fell...any ways...going on our fall tour!!!!!!!! should be lots of fun. hopefully i'll meet lots of neat people and check out some book publishers :) oh also i have a new painting and a linoleum print i did recently.

well summers creeping up sooner than i thought. the weather here is either 90 degrees or 60 something. damn climate change is a bitch lol. so far not much has happened since my last blog entry. jeff's been sick so i've mostley been doing nothing. have been buying tons of used vinyl lately....found some goodies :) hopefully next time i'll have something more interesting to put up.

alot has happened in the past 3 months. we got a new apartment. it's working out okay, there are a couple of things that bug me but it's not nearly as bad as the old place. works been going okay too, it's been kinda stressful tho.....haven't done ANY art for a long time now, i just don't feel like doing anything but walking outside, eating and watching anime lol so we'll see what the warmer weather will bring in the next couple of months. jeff's album is finished and is for sale on his website: www.jeffhayesmusic.com or if you know us give us a holler. we soon will be going on a mini tour, so catch him if you can!

as you can see the site has been re-done again by jeffy...put up some new photos, they are a mix of older and not so old and added a pic of a sketch i did the other day to the random page. the job's been doing great. the apartment situation that i haven't expressed in my blog still sucks, but if you know me you know what i'm talking about. also today at the goodwill i purchased a pair of shoes that when i got home apparently were not a matching set, but are damn close. well happy v-day everyone.

so Indigenous Peoples Day was great, me and jeffy and the kitties had some tofurkey dinner. did a painting, got the canvas from the thrift store...it had a really ugly painting on it so i covered it up, hopefully you won't think this one i covered it with is ugly. work's been kinda crazy, good tho...oh and got permanent marker on my new coat :( now the cats are chasing each other cause they're hungry and my hands are real chapped...

well my cat has been having some problems and she peed on my bush/climate change collage....sad time. been enjoying the fall-like weather outside, it really makes me happy :) went to an awesome summer olympics party last night that a friend of mine put together. we played mini golf, wii, and trivia pursuit. of course the german team, which was my team got the bronze, haha...

i'm working on a new painting, who knows how that'll turn up...or even if it does at all. my medicine collage is getting messed up beacuse of the constant fluctiation of tempurature in our apartment, so that kinda is bumming me out......and yeah well i see The Faint last night along with Son, Ambulance and Capgun Coup....it was fun, at least there was no smoking so i don't feel like crap today :)

well i finally found a frame so no worries now...i started a new painting today on some black foam board, that should be really cool....the jobs doing good, i really like it. the thing i like most though is all the people i work with. i feel bad being at work, cus i feel like i'm neglecting my kittys :( its okay though, i fill their void with food :) lol any ways be on the look out for my new painting coming up soon!

well i'm on the look out for some jobs....so i haven't had much time to do any new art.....i put that painting up a couple of days ago....oh and something terrible happened to me, some of my paintings and collages got messed up on the moving truck...so that makes me a little sad :( but they seem fixable...
